Syerup succeeded to his interest in the above firm in 1888. Mr. Henry C. Syerup was admitted under the firm known as Henry Syerup & Sons, on February, 1st, 1890. Mrs. L. Syerup and H. C. Syerup retiring and George Vondersaar was admitted, the firm now being known as Syerup & Company. They are able and enterprising business men and the distinguishing policy of this house is its activity in placing consignments on the market and always making prompt and satisfactory returns to shippers. The premises occupied comprise a large three-story and basement building, 43x70 feet in area, fitted up with every convenience, elevator, etc., and ten clerks and assistants are employed. They ship largely and deal in foreign and domesticfruits, vegetables and country produce, and make a specialty of handling oranges, bananas, melons, potatoes, onions, beans, lemons, cocoanuts, cranberries, apples, cabbage and small fruits, and are also agents for Duffy's pure apple cider juice. The partners are honorable business men, who are vety popular in trade circles. Mr. Vandersaar has been identified with this house for the past ten years. __

    Indianapolis Star, September 9, 1938, page 5. Rosemeyer, 86 years old, who died in Indianapolis at the home of his son-in-law Tine P. Dickinson and daughter, 4451 Central Avenue Friday night, were held at the Flanner & Buchanan Mortuary. Rosemeyer had been ill almost two years.

    He was born in Germany and came to this country from Berlin with his family at the age of 6. He spent the remainder of his life in Indianapolis. The death of his wife, Sarah Elizabeth Large Rosemeyer, April 19, 1934, ended a married life of 63 years. Mr. Rosemeyer was a member of the Union Congregational Church.

    Besides Mrs. Dickinson, he is survived by two other daughters, Mrs. George Smith and Mrs. William Feldman, and two sons, John W. Rosemeyer and Arthur T. Rosemeyer, also 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

    Indianapolis Star, April 20, 1934, p. 4. Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Rosemeyer, 82 years old, wife of William A. Rosemeyer, died yesterday after a brief illness in the home of a daughter, Mrs. Tine P. Dickinson, 4451 Central Avenue. She had spent all her life in Indianapolis living many years near Riverside Park. She and her husband celebrated their sixty-second wedding anniversary in June last year. Mrs. Rosemeyer was a member of the union Congregational Church and the Nettie Ransford Chapter, Order of Eastern Star.

    Besides the husband and Mrs. Dickinson, survivors are four other children, Mrs. William Feldman, Mrs. George Smith, John W. Rosemeyer, and Arthur T. Rosemeyer, all of Indianapolis, and a sister, Mrs. Frank Jackson of Greensburg. There also are twelve grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
