RITES PENDING
FOR PEGGY SUE
TONKINSON
Peggy Sue Tonkinson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Verdie Tonkinson, died at 3:30 a.m. today at the home of her parents, 506 West Kentucky, after a lengthly illness.
Funeral arrangements are pending the arrival of a brother, Kenneth Tonkinson, who is stationed at Camp Hood, Texas. Services will be held in the Assembly of God church with Rev. Leslie Moore, pastor, in charge.
Burial will be in the Anadarko cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
The nine-year-old child was born May 11, 1937 in Anadarko.
Survivors, in addition to her parents and the brother in Texas, includes another brother, Leelon Tonkinson of Anadarko and two sisters, Miss Wanda Christine Tonkinson, a student nurse in an Oklahoma City hospital and Wyona May of the family home.

Graveside funeral services will be held Friday June 9, 1995 at 10:00 a.m. at the Arvin District Cemetery for Vivian Turley, 84, of Arvin who passed away Wednesday, June 7, in a Bakersfield hospital. Reverend Rick Gilbertson will officiate and interment will follow.
Mr. Turley was born May 5, 1911 in Gans, Oklahoma to Harry & Maude Humble and attended Gans School and Brent School. On April 15, 1929, Vivian married Troy T. Turley and in 1942 the Turley family moved to the Arvin area. Mrs. Turley owned and operated a grocery store in Arvin for over 40 years and was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Arvin.
She was preceded in death by her husband Troy, in 1968 and by a son Jack Darrell Turley in 1985. She is survived by her son Troy T. Turley II of Bakersfield; a brother, Harry Humble of Weedpatch; and a sister, Ruby Humble also of Bakersfield; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren

PEAKER, Marx - Services were conducted today for Marx Peaker, 54, of 600 Curtis Drive, Bakersfield, who died May 12 in a Bakersfield hospital. Dr. Glenn D. Puder of the First Presbyterian Church officiated and interment followed in Union Cemetery. Mr. Peaker was a native of Rogers, Ark. He was born there Sept. 25, 1911. He worked in the construction business most of his life. Survivors include a son, Wayland; brothers, Woody of Shafter, Elvin and Paul of Bakersfield, Ray and Matthew of California. The Flint-Flickinger Mortuary.

Humble, Harry - Funeral services have been scheduled for 2 p.m. tomorrow in the chapel of the H. R. Borgsdorf Funeral Home, Arvin for Harry Humble, 91, who died April 27 in a Bakersfield hospital after a lingering illness. The Rev. John Skaggs will officiate. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery. The deceased was a native of London, England. He had lived in the Arvin area for the past 26 years.
