  • Notes 
    • Mathew Day married Ann (surname unknown) about 1748 and had 4 or 5 children prior to her death ca 1765. In 1756, he owned land in Doylestown Twp., Bucks Co. PA (recorded in Township History of Bucks Co. PA, Vol. II, pg. 53). In 1770, Mathew Day remarried Mary Felle, daughter of Felix Felle of Plumstead Twp., Bucks County PA by whom he had more children. In 1771, he sold his land in Bucks Co. PA and the family moved to Shrewsbury Twp., York Co. PA near the PA/MD border. The new homestead was in a strip of land that was then considered to be part of Baltimore County, MD. He lived there through the Rev. War until sometime before 1800 when he died. After his death, his widow Mary (Felle) Day moved to Bracken Co. KY and died there in 1824. Mathew Day is buried in Gunpowder Cemetery in Baltimore Co. MD. His children were: Mark (b.11/24/1752); John (b. 1/29/1755); Isaac (b. 6/17/1757); Mathew, Jr. (b. 12/18/1761) & possibly Asa (b. ca 1749); by 2nd wife Mary Felle, there were David, Mary, Joseph & Sarah.
