  William Henry "Babe" Harrison's father's was name George Washington Keene. When his mother,Frances Ann Harrison, divorced his father ( the story was that he had abandoned his family), she went back to her maiden name of Harrison. According to Augusta Inez Harrison ( his daughter), William was so upset by his father leaving his mother and siblings that he never went by the last name of Keene.
