      Dorothy Louise Feldman, 88, of Connersville, died Friday morning, January 25, 2008 at the Fayette Regional Health Care System, where she had been a patient for several days. She had been in failing health for several months.

      She is the daughter of the late Hugh and Ethel Husted Armstrong and was born in Fayette County on February 22, 1919. She attended the Connersville Public Schools and graduated from Connersville High School in 1937.

      Following graduation, she moved to Cincinnati in 1942 where she worked as a optician at the former Shillito-Rikes Department Store. Upon retiring in 1985, she moved to Warrensville, South Carolina and returned to Connersville for residence in 1988.

      On September 16, 1967, she was married in Cincinnati, Ohio to Edward Feldman. Mr. Feldman died September 9, 1987.

      She helped and served as the secretary for the Senior Citizens Mixed Bowling League, was a member of the National AARP, served as a secretary in the local AARP organization, was a member of the Glenwood United Methodist Church, where she had been active in the church ladies group. An avid bowler, in her leisure time she enjoyed playing cards.

      She is survived by: a step-son: Edward D. Feldman Jr. and wife, Margie of Ridge Springs, South Carolina; a number of step-grandchildren; four nieces: Pamela Langhoff and husband, Norman of Springfield, Illinois, Becky Sullivan and husband, Peter of Wichita, Kansas, Linda Keal and husband, Gary of Andersonville, Indiana and Mary Hajic and husband, Ed of Santa Fe, New Mexico; four nephews: Gerald Armstrong and wife, Sarah of Seymour, Indiana, Darrell Gentry and wife Jane of Rushville, Gerald Gentry and wife, Mary of Connersville, and Raymond Minella and wife, Amy of Greenwich, Connecticut; eight great nieces; eight great nephews; four sister-in-laws: Mildred Armstrong, Doris Armstrong Betty Armstrong and Celeste Mercer and husband, Charles.

      Besides her husband, Edward Feldman, she was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers: Clifford Armstrong, Harold Armstrong and Howard Armstrong; and one sister: Marthabelle Gentry.

      Funeral services will be conducted by Chaplain Betty Sue McDivitt at 7 PM on Monday, January 28, 2008 at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home, where friends may visit from 4 PM until the time of services. Friends and family are invited to the interment which will take place in Dale Cemetery on Tuesday at 11 AM.

      At Dorothy?s request donations may be made in her memory in care of the funeral home to the Glenwood United Methodist Church or to the charity of the donor?s choice.
